Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information BizDuet collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the BizDuet website and app at bizduet.com (the "Service").
1. Who we are
BizDuet is currently operated by its founders in Israel. No company has been incorporated yet. In this policy, "BizDuet", "we", "us" and "our" mean the people operating the Service, who are responsible for your personal information (the "controller" under the GDPR). If a company is formed to run the Service, it will take over this policy and the personal information we hold, and we will tell you.
Questions or requests: privacy@bizduet.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, your work email address, and a profile photo if your sign-in provider supplies one.
- Company details: your company's name, email domain and website, plus anything you add or correct in the company profile.
- Your role: your job title, department and role in your company's BizDuet workspace (owner, admin or member).
- Interview content: the messages you exchange with our AI interviewer, and the needs and offers it records for your company. You review, confirm or reject each of these.
- Messages with other companies: the chats you have with companies after both sides agree to an introduction.
- Team information: invitations you send to colleagues, including their email addresses.
- Settings: your email notification preferences.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and referring pages. We collect this through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, and through our hosting provider's logs.
- Cookies: see section 9.
Information from other sources
- Sign-in providers: when you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, your email address, whether the email is verified, an account identifier and, from Google, your profile photo. We do not receive your password.
- Your company's public website: when your company is set up, we read its public website to pre-fill a profile: a description, offerings, industry, location and logo.
- Business data providers: we may get company-level information about your company and other companies from Apollo and LeadIQ. This includes industry, size, location, description, public news and job postings. We use these providers for company data, not for information about individual people.
- Other companies: to help you find suppliers and counterparts, we collect public information about companies that are not on BizDuet. This comes from their own websites and from the providers above. Where a company publishes a general business address (such as sales@ or info@), we may store it. We do not collect the personal email addresses of named individuals for this purpose.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account, and verify that you control your work email;
- set up your company workspace and let colleagues on the same email domain join it;
- run the AI interview and build your company's needs and offers;
- find, score and explain potential matches with other companies, and introduce you when both sides agree;
- show you suppliers and companies that are not on BizDuet, and draft outreach emails for you to send yourself;
- send sign-in links, and notification emails you can turn off;
- understand how the Service is used, and fix and improve it;
- prevent abuse and fraud, and keep the Service secure;
- comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.
Legal bases (for users in the EEA, UK and similar jurisdictions): we rely on performing our contract with you to provide the Service. We rely on our legitimate interests to secure, analyze and improve the Service, enrich company profiles and find matches. Where the law requires consent (for example, for analytics cookies in the EEA and UK), we rely on consent. Some processing is needed to meet our legal obligations.
4. How we use AI
BizDuet relies on AI models. To provide the Service, we send relevant content to these AI providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini): to run the interview, extract company profiles from websites, score and explain matches, write introductions and draft emails. This content includes your interview messages, your needs and offers, and company profile information.
- Typesafe (Jev): to score how well a need and an offer fit, using the need, the offer and company context.
AI output can be wrong. That is why proposed needs and offers wait for your confirmation, and why you review every draft email before sending it yourself. We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
5. What other people can see
- Other companies: your needs and offers are private by default and are used for matching. When a match is suggested, the other company sees the relevant need or offer, the explanation for the match, and general facts about your company (such as industry, stage and size). They do not see your company's name. Your company's identity is revealed, and a chat opens, only after both sides agree to an introduction. Offers taken from your public website, and items you ask to make public, may be shown more widely.
- Your colleagues: company-wide items, matches and chats are visible to members of your company's workspace. Items you mark as personal are visible to you and to your company's admins. Admins can see the team list and invite or remove members.
- BizDuet staff: a small number of authorized people operating the Service can access account and company data, interviews and chats. They do this to provide support, investigate problems or abuse, and improve match quality.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and application infrastructure |
| Neon | Database hosting |
| Anthropic, Google (Gemini) | AI processing |
| Typesafe (Jev) | Match scoring |
| Google, Microsoft | Sign-in |
| Resend | Sending emails |
| Apollo, LeadIQ | Company information |
| Google (Tag Manager, Analytics) | Usage analytics |
- Other users: as described in section 5.
- Legal reasons: when the law requires it, or when we need to protect the rights, property or safety of BizDuet, our users or others.
- Business changes: to a company formed to operate the Service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets. This policy will continue to apply to that information.
7. International transfers
We operate from Israel, and our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States and EU member states. Israel is recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate protection for personal data. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK or other places with transfer rules to a country without such recognition, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account, company and interview information while your account or your company's workspace is active. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it or make it anonymous within a reasonable time. We may keep some information longer where the law requires it, to resolve disputes or to enforce our terms. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes. Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use:
- Essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in. The Service does not work without them.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the Service is used. Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we load analytics only after you accept them in our cookie notice. Everywhere else, analytics are on by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our pages. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
These include your rights under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act.
To exercise a right, email privacy@bizduet.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within the time the law requires. If your information is part of your company's workspace, we may involve your company's admin.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Israel, this is the Privacy Protection Authority. In the EEA or UK, you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
Companies that are not on BizDuet can ask us to remove their information at the same address.
11. Security
We protect personal information with measures that include encryption in transit, access controls and verified sign-in. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
12. Children
BizDuet is a service for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows when the policy last changed.
14. Contact us
Email privacy@bizduet.com with any questions about this policy or your personal information.
